Write a warm referral request email to [CONTACT] asking to be introduced to [TARGET PERSON at TARGET COMPANY]. Rules of good referral asks: Make it dead simple for them to forward (do the writing for them) Give them an easy "no" — good relationships require the opt out Name the reason you need this specific intro, not just "any intro is great" Deliver two blocks: 1. The email to your contact — under 100 words, ends with "totally fine if now's not the time" 2. The forward ready blurb — a 3 sentence pitch they can paste into a new email to [TARGET], written in their voice (casual), with a clear ask and no attachments.
