Overview SciSpace is the AI copilot for actually reading scientific papers — the tool that sits open in the tab next to a dense 40 page methods paper and answers the questions you would otherwise ask a patient advisor or your PhD supervisor. Formerly known as Typeset and now operating under Pubmed style ambitions as SciSpace, the platform was founded in 2015 in Bangalore by Saikiran Chandha and Shanu Kumar and has since raised over $5M, indexed more than 285 million research papers, and become the default "chat with a PDF" tool inside the academic AI stack.
