Replit Agent

AI that builds and deploys full apps from a single prompt, in the browser.

Overview Replit Agent is Replit's browser based AI coding agent — a system that takes a natural language description of an app and builds it end to end inside Replit's cloud IDE, spinning up the database, writing the code, wiring up authentication, and deploying to a live URL you can share within minutes. Launched in September 2024 as a bet by CEO Amjad Masad that the future of coding agent products lives in the browser rather than the terminal, Replit Agent has matured through 2025 and into 2026 into one of the two serious "build an app from a prompt" tools in the market, alongside Bolt.new. It is layered on top of a mature multi language sandbox, real hosting infrastructure, a package manager, a secrets manager, and a database offering. When the agent writes code, the code runs inside an environment that was designed to run code long before there was an agent. The one line positioning: Replit Agent is the browser native full stack app builder for non technical founders and technical builders in a hurry — the pick when you want a working, deployed prototype in a browser tab,…
